12th Middlesex: Newton says pension bond isn't viable yet; state authorization still pending
Newton's pension bond waits on the market and the State House. Mayor Marc Laredo and Chief Financial Officer Maureen Lemieux told the City Council on Oct. 5 that Newton is still preparing for a possible pension obligation bond but cannot issue one now.
